Firdaus Kharas was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada for advancing social change through human-centered media as a social entrepreneur, humanitarian, and mass-communications producer. Mr. Kharas has created media for social change used in 198 countries. His topics in 80 series of media have included human rights, refugees, violence reduction, and disease prevention.
