Chief Reporteur Wanted: Report Writer for Group of 78 Conference

The Group of 78 plans to engage a report writer for its annual policy conference to be held in Ottawa on October 10, 2025. The theme of the conference is on international development, and the specific title is Redefining development in the new world disorder: Harnessing AI and innovative finance to reach the Sustainable Development Goals. The writer will be the Chief Rapporteur of the conference and will work with the G78’s leadership and a group of graduate student rapporteurs to record the presentations and discussions of the event and to produce a final report. The report will emphasize key messages and recommendations for action arising from the deliberations and will be shared widely through advocacy and dialogue with government and other organizations. Examples of past reports will be provided.

The workplan will entail discussions with G78 prior to the conference, attendance at the conference on October 10, and follow-up production of the report by December 1, 2025, with the assistance of notes from G78 members and the student rapporteurs. The G78 will provide an honorarium of $2,500.00 for this work.
